A last-minute provision added by Sen. Mitch McConnell to the federal spending bill would cap THC in hemp products at 0.4 milligrams per package.
These limits, many hemp businesses say, would effectively ban nearly all products now on shelves.

Under the new limit, nearly all hemp products currently on the market would be banned. Business owners said the impact would extend far beyond their bottom line.
Dee Dee Taylor, owner of 502 Hemp Wellness Center in Kentucky, called the change devastating.
