OXFORD, Miss. − Florida football put forth a better effort than it did a week ago against Kentucky, but the end result was still more disappointment.
The Florida Gators (3-7, 2-5 SEC) were unable to hold a fourth quarter lead in a 34-24 loss to Ole Miss at Vaught Hemingway-Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy scored the go-ahead 1-yard TD run with 14:57 left in the fourth quarter and added a 4-yard TD with 1:43 left to clinch the win. The Rebels (10-1, 6-1 SEC) clinched its third straight 10-win season under head coach Lane Kiffin, who is considering the leading candidate to become UF's next coach.
The loss dropped UF out of bowl eligibility as UF will miss a bowl for the second time in three seasons. Florida , which dropped to 0-3 under interim coach B
