The Bruins finished Saturday’s win without two key players as their numbers continue to thin.
Charlie McAvoy left in the second period after being hit in the face with a puck. Viktor Arvidsson, who scored the game-winning goal departed with a lower-body injury late in the third period.
According to Marco Sturm, McAvoy was having tests after the game. He was hoping McAvoy would be able to fly home with the team.
“He’s doing O.K. He’s just getting some testing done,” Sturm said.
He said Arvisson would miss some time, but didn’t set a timetable.
“He will be out. I don’t know how long,” Sturm said.
He’d be the third top-six forward out of the lineup for Boston. The Bruins are already missing forwards Elias Lindholm and Casey Mittelstadt.
