A man accused of several sexually motivated attacks that left several suburban communities fearful was ordered to be detained pre-trial, DuPage County State's Attorney said Saturday.

Kwame Koranteng, 31, of the 400 block of Ridgemoor Drive in Willowbrook is facing one count of attempted criminal sexual assault, two counts of aggravated battery in a public place, two counts of aggravated battery against a person over 60, and one count of criminal sexual abuse.

One victim alleges that around 3 p.m. on Nov. 7, she was walking on Brookbank Road in Downers Grove when a man later identified as Koranteng exited his parked vehicle and ran toward her. Koranteng passed her briefly, turned around, walked past her again and grabbed her buttocks. She also alleges Koranteng asked if "she can have sex"
