Blue Collar has donated over $23,000 worth of toys in the past five years, said owner Brandon McNeely.

ROCKWELL — When Powles-Staton Funeral Home started participating in Operation Toy Soldier in 2015, they put out only one barrel at their location in Rockwell. Now in their 10th year, they’ve expanded the collection sites to over a dozen locations in Rockwell and Salisbury and partnered with multiple businesses to help expand their charity.

Russ Roakes spearheads the efforts for the funeral home and said they kicked off collection on Nov. 9 and will collect toys for children in the community. Toys will be collected until Dec. 15.
