PFAFFTOWN — Underdog A.L. Brown stayed in the game for a half, but was eventually overpowered by Reagan and stellar running back John Evans Jr.
Reagan won Friday’s second-round game in the 7A playoffs, 42-7, with Evans putting the ball in the end zone four times.
The Wonders’ got to halftime down only 14-7 and very much in the game, but Evans broke an untouched, 50-yard romp early in the third quarter for 21-7 and some separation.
After a couple of turnovers by the 12th-seeded Wonders (8-4) gave fifth-seeded Reagan (9-2) short fields, the home team capitalized, and it was all over.
