LONG BEACH – Police are investigating a shooting following an altercation an Eastside neighborhood of Long Beach, the Long Beach Police Department said Saturday.
Police were called to the 3200 block of East Anaheim Street and Obispo Avenue at 6:45 p.m. Thursday regarding a shots fired call, the police department said.
At the scene, Long Beach officers found a man who had been engaged in a verbal dispute with another man, who drew a firearm during the argument and shot at the victim once before running way, police said.
The victim was not struck by gunfire but officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
