De De Pyaar De 2 hit cinemas this weekend, bringing Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan together once again for a feel-good rom-com vibe. The film is directed by Anshul Sharma, and right from day one, it managed to pull attention at the box office.
The opening day worldwide gross stood at around Rs. 9.45 crore, which isn’t explosive but still respectable for the genre. Day two picked up more momentum, touching roughly Rs. 13.77 crore gross and taking the early total to about Rs. 23.22 crore.
With Sunday being the usual family turnout day, the numbers are expected to land higher than the first two days. Reactions so far are mixed, so it remains to be seen how long the film takes to reach its first major mark, the Rs. 50 crore gross milestone.
