There is a new sign of restiveness in bordering areas of Sonamura subdivision as evident from reports of smuggling of fire-arms into the state from Bangladesh. This has become a matter of deep concern for the administration as Pakistani ISI is now active in Bangladesh and helping anti-India Islamists to work for internal subversion within Indian borders.

This lingering suspicion has deepened today with the arrest of a person with an illegal fire-arm and several rounds of ammunition from bordering area of Sonamura.
