Team India slumped to a defeat on home soil against South Africa at the Eden Gardens as the touring Proteas cliched a 30-run win against the hosts.

South Africa made 159 runs in the first inning before India replied with 189 to establish a 30-run lead but, the Proteas made 153 in their second inning ad limited India to just 93-runs to seal a famous win.

India head coach Gautam Gambhir, however, refused to pin the blame on the batting unit and reinstated that the side wins and loses as a unit.

“It’s a tough one. I, I honestly don’t believe in giving marks and it’s not right on my part to give marks out of 10 and all that stuff," the 44-year-old said
