Storm Claudia has caused disruption to communities across Wales - and brought one police pursuit to a soggy end. Roads policing officers were pursuing a car which had failed to stop when the fleeing driver decided to drive through flood water on a road, causing the engine to cut out.
The driver jumped out of the car and made off on foot, and was subsequently found hiding in a hedge. With a touch of tongue-in-cheek humour, police have described the watery end of the chase as "one of our lesser used tactical resolutions".
