NEW DELHI: A Pakistan-linked arms and drug network was busted by the Punjab by police in Amritsar on Sunday. Six pistols and more than 1 kg of heroin were seized, and five people were arrested during the operation. The Director General of police said officers from the Amritsar Commissionerate acted on intelligence inputs. "Acting on intelligence inputs, Amritsar Commissionerate police dismantles a Pakistan-linked arms and narco network and apprehends five persons and recovers six sophisticated pistols (five .30 bore & one Glock 9mm) along with 1 Kg 10 gm Heroin," it said in a post on X. Investigations had revealed that the accused were in touch with their handlers in Pakistan through social media and drones to coordinate the movement and delivery of illegal weapons and narcotic
