Rui Hachimura took the trade rumors personally. After being bashed for inconsistency amid his expensive contract, he is having his best season as a Laker yet. In 13 games so far, Hachimura is averaging a career-high 15.8 points per game, shooting at a whopping 57.7% while being a defensive standout. “Nobody talks about him, but he deserves a lot of credit in our wins,” Luka Doncic said after their Hornets win. “He’s been amazing for us, and the way he plays like every game, it just helps us a lot, especially to win games.”
Unfortunately for the Lakers, Hachimura has reportedly been ruled out of their game against the Milwaukee Bucks. It piles on the injury woes for JJ Redick as he already has LeBron James out with a sciatica issue, and Gabe Vincent is nursing a left ankle sprain.
