Since 2019, the University of Toledo women’s cross country team has done nothing but win under coach Andrea Grove-McDonough.
The Rockets claimed their fifth consecutive Mid-American Conference championship Nov. 1 at Buffalo, marking their 11th title in program history — the most in the league by any school.
Toledo captured five of the top 15 positions in the race for 32 points and was 30 points ahead of second-place Ohio, which had 62 points.
This year, however, was different. The Rockets lost three of their top five runners from a season ago and, unlike many college programs in 2025, it rebuilt with talent from within. Senior Karina James secured her first individual conference title, and four other runners earned first team All-MAC honors.
