Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday ruled out any terror conspiracy in Friday night’s blast at Nowgam police station and announced a magisterial inquiry into the matter.

“The Nowgam police station incident was only an unfortunate accident and there was no terror conspiracy or outside interference behind it,” Sinha said while addressing a ‘Nagar Kirtan’ organised to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur at a gurdwara in Jammu .

“As a magisterial inquiry is mandatory in such incidents, I have ordered one into it in accordance with the law,” he said.
