The fire service came to the rescue of a man who had fallen into a river in Manchester city centre in the early hours of this morning (November 16).
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service took to their Facebook page to share photos of the scene, which included several fire engines operating their crane and turntable ladder.
The incident took place on Charles Street, which is bisected by the River Medlock and close to a number of nightlife hotspots including Factory 251, Joshua Brooks, YES and the Lass O'Gowrie pub.
