State Pensioners will be receiving their Winter Fuel Payments now, but for those unsure if they have received the support, they have been urged to use a four-digit code.

Payments began on Wednesday, November 12, with those aged 66 or over being able to get £200 Winter Fuel Payments.

Meanwhile, Brits aged 80 or over will get the full £300.

In total, over nine million pensioners will be claiming between £100 and £300 throughout November and December.

However, fraudsters are taking advantage of people that are still waiting for the money, claiming that people need to send over personal information to get it.
