Following a significant victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form a new government in the state before November 22. Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan announced that discussions among alliance partners are ongoing to finalize the government structure.

The NDA secured 202 out of 243 seats, marking a strong majority in the Assembly. Paswan stated, "I will also speak with senior Union Ministers, and the blueprint will be ready by today or tomorrow. We have to form the government before 22nd November. It will be done." He emphasized that clarity on the government formation will emerge soon.

Speculation is rife about whether Nitish Kumar will take the oath as Chief Minister for a record tenth time. The BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 89 seats, while JD(U) followed closely with 85 seats. The Lok Janshakti Party won 19 seats, and other allies like the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha secured five and four seats, respectively.

Paswan met with Nitish Kumar, describing their discussion as "cordial and constructive." He also criticized opposition claims regarding the misuse of funds during the elections, urging them to present factual evidence if available.

Rashtriya Lok Morcha leader Upendra Kushwaha indicated that the timeline for government formation would become clearer in the next few days. The NDA plans to start the formal process of government formation in two to three days, once all elected MLAs return to Patna.

As the NDA prepares for the new term, the political landscape in Bihar is shifting, with the Mahagathbandhan coalition significantly reduced to just 35 seats, reflecting a decline in support for both the RJD and Congress. The upcoming days will be crucial as the NDA finalizes its cabinet and leadership roles.
