Ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma were seen speaking after the end of the first Test at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, two days after the former made a controversial comment on Bavuma’s height, for which he garnered a lot of criticism.

Unbeaten at the end, Bumrah walked over to Bavuma after Mohammed Siraj’s dismissal. Pictures of the two chatting as they left the field went viral within minutes, becoming one of the major talking points after India’s 30-run defeat.

The moment gained extra attention because of the controversy from Day 1, when stump audio picked up Bumrah and vice-captain Rishabh Pant using the word ‘bauna’ while discussing a possible LBW review against Bavuma during South Africa’s first innings.
