Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Patani, has been granted a weapons license by the Bareilly district administration following a shooting incident at their home. The attack occurred on September 11 and 12, when unidentified gunmen, believed to be associated with the Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara gangs, fired approximately ten rounds at the Patani residence in Bareilly.

In response to the attack, Jagdish Patani, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), approached the Bareilly District Magistrate to request a weapons license for his protection. The Bareilly District Magistrate, Avnish Singh, confirmed that after completing the necessary formalities, the license for a revolver was issued to him.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured Jagdish Patani of enhanced security following the incident. The police promptly registered a case against the assailants, and a joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), Haryana STF, and Delhi Police led to the killing of the suspects in an encounter in Ghaziabad on September 17.

Despite the recent events, Disha Patani continues to focus on her film career. She was recently seen in the Hindi film "Yodha," the Telugu film "Kalki 2898 AD," and the Tamil film "Kanguva." Disha is also set to make her Hollywood debut in Kevin Spacey’s "Holiguards Saga - The Portal of Force" and has another Hindi film, "Welcome to the Jungle," in the pipeline. Further details about her upcoming projects are yet to be announced.
