Shakopee police say they are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition early Saturday morning.

According to the Shakopee Police Department, officers responded to a weapons complaint on Grove Drive just before 3:15 a.m.

At the scene, officers found a 40-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition.

Police don't believe the shooting was random, and it's unlikely that there is an ongoing threat to the public. No arrests have been announced, and the investigation is ongoing.
