The son of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader in Punjab’s Ferozepur city was on Saturday shot dead allegedly by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants, The Indian Express reported.

Naveen Arora, the son of RSS leader Baldev Raj Arora, was shot around 7 pm on Saturday when he was walking home from his shop.

The assailants opened fire at him from point-blank range near the Baba Noor Shah Wali dargah, The Tribune reported.

Naveen was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared that he had been brought dead.

Closed-circuit television camera footage from shops in the area showed the attackers fleeing the spot moments after firing at Arora, The Indian Express reported.
