Kannur, Nov 16: A wave of grief and disbelief swept through Ettukudukka in the Kankol–Alappadamba panchayat near Payyannur after 41-year-old Aneesh George, a school attendant and booth-level officer (BLO), was found dead at his residence on Sunday.

Aneesh, who was actively involved in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of the state’s electoral roll, was reportedly under stress related to his BLO duties, according to neighbours and family members.

Shyju V K, a neighbour, recalled the final moments of the day: “He took his family to church in the morning and came back home. We never imagined he would take such an extreme step. He did face some difficulty while locating a few houses during BLO work, but he always managed with help from others. H
