After a mild start to November, winter is set to make a dramatic arrival in Kent with weather maps predicting a blanket of snow across the region.
A vast 500‑mile snow band sweeping down from Scotland, reaching as far south as London, will cover more than a dozen counties, including Kent, with some areas slated for 20 inches of snow .
Forecasters warn that temperatures may plunge below freezing from midweek, bringing the first widespread frosts of the season and the potential for heavy snowfall across parts of the county.
