A North Pole man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly driving under the influence, hitting a car and driving away.
Magistrate Judge Spenser Ruppert set 55-year-old Ramon Herrera Jr.’s bail at $3,000 Saturday for charges of felony third-degree assault, felony leaving the scene of an accident without assisting the injured and misdemeanor driving under the influence.
According to court documents, a woman was driving eastbound on Airport Way and turning onto Cushman Street when a black pickup truck allegedly hit her Chevy Trailblazer while driving westbound on Airport Way. The pickup truck reportedly crossed the median, started driving eastbound on Airport Way and turned down South Cushman Street.
