Agartala, 16 th November 2025: In a heartwarming initiative that blends devotion with service, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) organized a mass food distribution event at GB Bazaar, one of Agartala’s busiest commercial hubs today. The event, part of ISKCON’s global “Food for Life” program locally known as ISKCON Annadan served sanctified meals, or prasadam, to hundreds of passersby.
Rooted in the Sanatan tradition, prasadam distribution is considered one of the five essential forms of yajna (sacrificial offerings), symbolizing both spiritual and humanitarian service. ISKCON’s Food for Life initiative aims to uphold this tradition while working toward a hunger-free world.
