The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a major breakthrough in the Red Fort car bomb case by arresting Amir Rashid Ali, a Kashmiri man accused of helping suicide bomber Dr. Umar Un Nabi procure the vehicle used in the deadly attack.
The November 10 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort claimed 10 lives and injured 32.
Investigators confirmed that the car was registered in Amir’s name and later converted into a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED). Forensic analysis identified Umar Un Nabi, an Assistant Professor of General Medicine at Al-Falah University, as the suicide bomber. Another vehicle linked to him is undergoing forensic examination.
