LINCOLN, Neb. ( Nebraska Athletics ) - The No. 2 Nebraska wrestling team defeated No. 11 Michigan, 24-14, on Saturday evening to advance to the semifinals on Sunday at the National Duals Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
With the win over the Wolverines, NU secured a semifinal matchup against No. 4 Ohio State at 10 a.m. (CT) Sunday morning.
Kael Lauridsen moved into the starting lineup to face No. 20 Diego Sotelo. The redshirt freshman dropped a 5-2 decision, giving Michigan a 3-0 lead.
At 133, No. 11 Jacob Van Dee brought the heat to get a 9-0 major decision over Gauge Botero before No. 2 Brock Hardy defeated Eren Sement at 141 with a tech. fall, 20-5.
No. 4 Lachlan McNeil defeated Nikade Zinkin in a 15-5 major decision. With a 9-7 team lead, No. 1 Antrell Taylor won a 20-5
