New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is hospitalized in critical but stable condition after being shot Sunday outside a restaurant in Manhattan, according to multiple reports.

The 29-year-old, who had the weekend off after the Jets' loss on Thursday against the Patriots, was identified by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) as the person wounded in a shooting in Midtown early on Sunday morning.

Boyd's shooting was first reported by the New York Post and later confirmed by multiple outlets.

The shooting was reported around 2 a.m. in Manhattan, sending Boyd to Bellevue Hospital in New York City, where he was treated and evaluated for serious injuries related to the shooting.

“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” a spokesperson for the Jets told the Post.

Boyd, who has been on injured reserve since sustaining an injury in training camp, signed a one-year deal with the Jets in March.

He had previous stops with the Minnesota Vikings - who drafted him in the seventh round - the Arizona Cardinals, and the Houston Texans, before landing with the Jets.

Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson II took to X on Sunday afternoon, "asking for prayers."

"Everybody please send prayers to my brother and teammate Kris Boyd and his family!!!" he posted. "Lord, please hold your healing hand over Kris and guide him back to health and safety. Lord, I ask that you please just get him through this safely. In your name, Amen."

No arrests have been made as of Sunday afternoon. Investigators are reportedly searching for a BMW SUV believed to have been involved in the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
