Mason Greenwood has been named Ligue 1's Player of the Month shortly amid reports linking the 24-year-old with a return to the England national team.

Greenwood won the award for October. The former Manchester United forward scored five goals during the month, with four of those coming in Marseille’s 6-2 victory over Le Havre. He also found the net against Lens in a 2-1 defeat.

The youngster has scored nine times this season and provided four assists in 15 appearances. His numbers last year were impressive too, with Greenwood tying PSG’s Ousmane Dembele for the French Golden Boot with 21 league goals.

Greenwood will hope his performances help him move closer to his goal of returning to international duty with England.
