NEW YORK — Former Minnesota Vikings cornerback and current New York Jets defensive back Kris Boyd is in critical but stable condition after he was shot early Sunday morning in Midtown Manhattan, according to multiple reports.
The 29-year-old was shot in the abdomen around 2 a.m. on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue, the New York Post reported . Law enforcement sources told the outlet the shooting happened outside Sei Less restaurant after a dispute turned violent and a gunman fired two shots.
An NYPD spokesperson confirmed to ESPN’s Rich Cimini that Boyd was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
