PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers knocked off the Cincinnati Bengals 34-12 on Sunday in what was a masterful performance by the defense. They forced two turnovers against Joe Flacco and the Bengals offense, with Kyle Dugger jumping a third down pass for a 74-yard pick six and another fumble return by James Pierre for 32 yards to give the defense perhaps its strongest game of the season.
However, it was how they did it that was so impressive. They were shorthanded at defensive back without Darius Slay and with the mid-game ejection of Jalen Ramsey , and still, the Steelers pushed ahead.
They mixed up their coverages and fronts. It took some trickery to drop guys like Jack Sawyer (who got caught in zone coverage on the lone touchdown of the game) and others in coverage to mix up
