PHILADELPHIA − Many expected the Eagles and Lions to be the matchup last January in the NFC Championship game.

They were the top two seeds in the NFC. But the Lions, who went 15-2, lost in the divisional round at home to the Washington Commanders , one week before they would have hosted the Eagles (14-3). The Eagles then beat the Commanders, followed by the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The stakes aren't nearly as high in this Week 11 game, but the intrigue is, especially since the two teams haven't met since the season opener in 2022.
