The holidays are near, and if you want to give back in a way that’s not so typical, how about fostering a pet so they don’t have to spend the holidays in a shelter?

Dachshund Rescue of Houston is asking Houstonians to consider fostering one of its pets during the holiday season.

In a post on Instagram, the non-profit, volunteer-based organization that breeds, rescues, and re-homes Dachshunds, asked families to bring some holiday cheer to their pups by ensuring they spend the holidays with a loving family.
