DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks provided a hopeful update on star forward Anthony Davis, who has been out with injury for multiple weeks.

Davis has been out since Oct. 29, when he left the game against the Indiana Pacers with a left calf strain . The team originally said Davis would be out for two games and then be re-evaluated.

On Sunday, the Mavericks announced Davis' injury was re-evaluated and it appears he is "making good progress with his recovery," the team said.

Despite the optimistic tone, the update also included that Davis will be re-assessed in seven to 10 days. Davis has already been out for eight games, and if he comes back in seven days, he will have missed 13.
