OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The holiday season can be make-or-break time for small business owners.
This weekend, more than 200 local vendors are counting on the Omaha Holiday Boutique to deliver the sales they need to survive.
The event, running through Sunday evening at CHI Health Center’s Convention Center, has become a lifeline for Nebraska entrepreneurs looking to connect directly with customers in an increasingly digital marketplace.
“A lot of people don’t want to buy off of Temu or one of the other websites, they want to meet the people who they’re buying from and meet their local neighbors and this is a great place to come out and do that,” said Marc Gacy, who runs the Omaha Holiday Boutique.
