SANTA CLAUS, Ind. — Indiana conservation officers helped rescue a deer Friday morning after it fell through the safety net of a pool at Holiday World.
According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources , around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 14, conservation officers were dispatched to Holiday World in Santa Claus on a report that a deer had fallen through the safety net of a 14-15 foot pool.
The deer was reportedly sedated by a vet from Animal Hospital Inc. in Huntingburg and with the help from the Santa Claus Volunteer Fire Department and the Spencer County Sheriff's Department, the deer was rescued and transported to another area of the park to be released.
