Paralympic gold medallist Paige Greco has died following a “sudden medical episode” in her Adelaide home.

Greco, 28, won a gold medal at the Tokyo Games in the Women’s C1-3 Individual Pursuit in 2021. She also won two bronze medals in the Women’s C1-3 Road Race and Time Trial.

She claimed multiple gold medals at the 2019 Para-Cycling Track Worlds, where she set three world records in one day.

Her family said Greco, who had cerebral palsy, brought “so much joy” into their lives.

“Paige meant everything to us. Her kindness, her determination and her warmth touched our family every single day,” her mother Natalie Greco said in a statement.
