Josh Naylor is sticking with the Seattle Mariners.

The Canadian slugger is finalizing a five-year deal with the Mariners, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported on Sunday.

Naylor, 28, was traded to the Mariners from the Arizona Diamondbacks at the 2025 deadline and was a key part of the club’s run to the ALCS, where they lost in a thrilling Game 7 to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The first baseman clubbed 20 homers with 92 RBIs in 2025 and led all of the majors with 19 stolen bases following the trade for a career-high 30 on the season.

He slashed .340/.392/.472 with three pivotal homers for the Mariners in the playoffs, and became the first Canadian-born player to hit a playoff homer at the Rogers Centre.
