TWINSBURG, Ohio — A 14-year-old girl is dead after she was shot by a 15-year-old boy Saturday, police say.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s office says the girl was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:42 p.m. on the 10800 block of Ravenna Road. The girl was found on the ground by officers after the shooting was reported just before 1 p.m.

The identity of the girl was not released Sunday night. The medical examiner’s office says it will release additional information after an autopsy is conducted Monday.

According to police, the boy has been charged with murder and tampering with evidence. He is being held at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.

Multiple agencies are assisting with the investigation, including the Twinsburg Fire Department, Valley Enforcement Group, Summit C
