Sophia Kline wanted to go to college on the east coast and she wanted to play softball.

She will get to do both.

The Beavers' Kline committed to play softball at Merrimack College during a signing ceremony at Harper Creek High School on Friday, Nov. 14.

Kline said the advantage of choosing Merrimack was that it is located in Massachusetts.

"I was mainly looking to go out east in Boston and that area. I want to go into finance and there are a lot of career opportunities out there," Kline said. "They liked my academics and how I fit there and academics are important for me."
