Natasha Howard, a native of Toledo and a Waite High School alumna, was celebrated for her college career on Sunday at Florida State as the school retired her No. 33 jersey at halftime of a game between the Seminoles and Indiana.

While playing at Florida State, Howard (2011-14) was a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team selection in 2013 and 2014 and an All-Defensive team honoree in 2012 and 2014.

She finished her Florida State career with 1,811 points, averaging 14.0 points per game in 129 games played. She set the school records for career rebounds with 1,047 and double-doubles with 41, which were broken by Makayla Timpson last season.

Howard is the fifth player in program history to have her jersey retired along with Sue Galkantas (1980-84), Tia Paschal (1988-93), Wanda B
