New Delhi: The air quality in Delhi-NCR remained in the ‘very poor’ to ‘severe’ category on Monday, as a thick layer of smog blanketed the national capital for another day.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi recorded an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 360 at 6 a.m., while six monitoring stations registered readings above 400, marking ‘severe’ levels.
Among the key locations, Alipur recorded an AQI of 386, Anand Vihar 384, Ashok Vihar 392, Chandni Chowk 383, ITO 394, Lodhi Road 337, Mundka 396, Nehru Nagar 389, and Sirifort 368. Areas such as Bawana (427), DTU (403), Jahangirpuri (407), Narela (406), Rohini (404), and Wazirpur (401) reported ‘severe’ levels of pollution.
