PHILADELPHIA – It was a tough night for Detroit's high-powered offense Sunday as the Lions managed just nine points in a 16-9 loss on the road to the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. It's Detroit's lowest point total since scoring six points on the road in a loss to Baltimore in 2023.
The loss drops the Lions to 6-4 on the season and currently on the outside looking in at the NFC playoff picture after Week 11.
Detroit had the No. 2 scoring offense in the NFL coming into Sunday averaging 31.4 points per game, but they found it tough sledding in cold, windy conditions at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia's No. 18 ranked defense played inspired football all night, holding Detroit to 3-for-13 on third down, 0-for-5 on fourth down and 0-for-1 in the red zone.
