Only one in four of all winners in Bihar managed to secure a majority vote share of over 50 per cent and the BJP alone accounted for half of these high-mandate seats. No opposition MLA in any of their winning seats got more than 50 per cent vote share, the analysis of the official data by News18 shows.
Of 243 MLA, just 67 got more than 50 per cent vote share and 35 of them were from the BJP—the highest among the parties, data from the Election Commission of India shows.
