SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Much like Thursday night in Manhattan, South Dakota found themselves trailing in the final 10 seconds of a road contest. Sunday, Angelina Robles was the hero as South Dakota defeated Idaho State 64-63 in Pocatello, Idaho.
With 2.7 seconds on the clock, USD got the ball to Robles, who hit her defender with a crossover move to get open and buried the game-winning shot as time expired.
The two sides entered the fourth quarter tied at 41 after a low-scoring first half. Idaho State was one step ahead of South Dakota for most of the quarter, but it was Robles and the Coyotes who got the final shot, and made it count. Robles’ game winner was the fourth three-poitner of the game and gave her a team-high 14 points in the win.
