CHENNAI: City police on Sunday investigated a series of bomb threat emails and phone calls targeting Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin, actor Ajith Kumar, and several other high-profile individuals and establishments. After extensive searches across the city, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) declared all threats to be hoaxes. The first alert was triggered when an email sent from the address kamakshi_selvaganesh@mail2tor.email reached the official inbox of the Director General of Police on November 16.
