n a major operation, Manipur Police, along with CRPF and Assam Rifles, carried out a major crackdown on militant outfits in the state, arresting three hardcore insurgents and recovering a large cache of arms and ammunition.
The operation led to the arrest of Koijam Ibochouba, a self-styled Major of RPF/PLA, from a rented house in Sagolband Nepra Menjor Leikai, Imphal West. Ibochouba, wanted in connection with the 2017 ambush of 4 Assam Rifles at Sajik Tampak, led authorities to a buried arms depot at a farm in Kharungpat, Kakching District.
Recovered arms and ammunition included:
