Panaji: Preparations are complete for the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2025) in Panaji, Goa. Scheduled from November 20 to 28, the festival will showcase 270 films, with the Brazilian film ‘The Blue Trail’ opening the event.
Over 7,500 delegates have registered. The venues, including Inox Multiplex and the Kala Academy in Panaji, are fully equipped, said Dr L Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, at a press conference. Actor Rajinikanth will be honoured at the festival.
The lineup includes 50 films by women directors, 21 Oscar-entry films and 50 films by debutant filmmakers. The opening ceremony will take place at a special open venue in Panaji.
