Residents in part of Perth’s south west have been urged to leave now, after a bushfire started just before 2pm.
A watch and act is in place for people in Wandi in the City of Kwinana with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services warning there is a threat to lives and homes.
People in an area bounded by Rowley Road to the north, De Haer Road to the east and Bodeman Road to the west in parts of Wandi are urged to leave now if their plan is to leave.
“Take your emergency kit with you. It should include an AM/FM radio that runs off batteries, a first aid kit, a woollen blanket, phones, protective clothing, medication and irreplaceable valuables,” the DFES warning read.
